The type of flour used on this occasion is self-rising flour, commonly known in other countries as pastry flour or cake flour, plus the addition of baking powder. In general, depending on the brand, it can absorb more or less amount of liquid and that is why I recommend incorporating it gradually. As a result, keep in mind that the smaller the volume, the smaller the final product.
The fat used in this opportunity is butter. But you can substitute margarine, sunflower oil, olive oil, coconut oil, etc. Even so, depending on what fat is used, it can change its texture and final flavor. Therefore, always keep in mind the type and class of ingredients when preparing a specific recipe.
In the same way, you have the choice of using orange juice, milk, non-dairy milk or simply water. In addition to using a mixture of them, that is, half-and-half. However, the intensity of the flavor will depend on the amount of orange juice. Therefore, the final result, whether in texture and flavor, will depend on the type of ingredient and proportion used.

- Self-raising flour 250 g
- Butter 150 g
- Orange juice 300 ml
- Orange zest
- Sugar 230 g
- Eggs 2
- In a bowl place the butter at room temperature and the sugar. Beat until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating constantly.
- Add the orange zest. Add self-rising flour interspersed with the orange juice until a smooth and uniform mixture is obtained.
- Pour the preparation into a previously buttered and floured loaf cake mold.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C / 356 °F for approximately 40 minutes, or when a toothpick inserted comes out dry. Cool and unmold.

- Consume preferably before 3 days.
