Swap out those purchased cookies for a healthier breakfast or snack. Easy to prepare and simple ingredients, you can quickly make something delicious and nutritious In addition, apples are a fruit that is found all year round. Ideal to take advantage of and make numerous recipes with it.

About the ingredients:

At Integralisimo, the whole wheat flour used is 100% whole grain, fine ground (I don’t use mixes unless I mention it). In general, depending on its brand, it can absorb more or less amount of liquid. So I recommend incorporating them gradually. Keep in mind that the lower the volume is, smaller final product you will get.

The type of apple can be red or green, and is used in the form of puree, grated or in pieces. Although it can also be replaced by pears, for example. Regardless of the form or type of fruit, the recipe will come out well. What can vary is its appearance, because if it is used in pieces, the fruit may not completely disintegrate during baking.

When using fruits that add too much liquid to the recipe, that excess can be removed. To do this, place on the cut or grated fruit lemon juice (it will prevent it from oxidizing and turning black) and a little sugar. This is left to rest for a few minutes and then the liquid is removed by squeezing the fruit a little.

About Cooking:

Baking these apple oats muffins with whole wheat flour takes just a few minutes and you can use a muffin tin or paper liners. When using liners and you want to better preserve their shape during cooking, it is convenient to use the mold as well. Usually the paper gets moistened with the preparation and may warp a bit as a result.
