Red Berry Sauce. Exquisite and Simple!

We are going to prepare a red berries sauce to accompany different desserts, ice creams and yogurts. It really is exquisite and you can make both fresh and frozen red berries.

Today I leave the recipe in a light version (without sugar). But you can also see in the notes part the proportion of sugar that would be used to make a red berries sauce with sugar.

It is a super fast, easy sauce without much elaboration. Super healthy and light by not having added sugar. In a few steps we will obtain an ideal accompaniment for different desserts.

Luego dejaré otro post para hacer un rico relleno para sus tortas o vasitos dulces con la combinación de esta salsa de frutos rojos y otros ingredientes que realmente queda muy rica y liviana (queda excelente con tortas de chocolate)

  • Red Fruits 500 g / 17.64 oz
  • Sweetener sachet 3
  • Water 2 tbsp

  1. Wash the fresh berries. If they are in the freezer, defrost. As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, blend or not according to the consistency you want to get.
  2. In a small pot or pan, place the red berries, the water and the sweetener (if you like sweeter, add more sweetener), stir. Cook over low heat, stir constantly so that it does not burn.
  3. Depending on the consistency you need or according to the use that you are going to give this red fruit sauce, the cooking time will depend on it. If what you want is to achieve a liquid sauce, cooking will only take between 5 - 10 minutes. If you want a thick sauce, the cooking will take between 10 - 15 minutes. Keep in mind that the sauce when it cools it will take on a thicker appearance than when it is hot.

To make this unsweetened red fruit sauce, replace with 200 g / 7.05 oz of sugar and 250 ml of water. The cooking time is taken from the moment the sauce reaches its boiling point.
